OpenCE
Halo: Combat Evolved in your browser, from your own Xbox disc.
Ready to play
The game starts in this tab. Its own menus, saved games and settings stay in this browser.
Game data
The maps are copied out of your own disc image (an .iso of Halo: Combat Evolved for the Xbox) into this browser's storage for this site. Nothing is uploaded, and the site serves no game data.
Mods
No mods yet.
A mod is a folder with a mod.toml and a tags folder of Halo PC tag files: sounds, textures and text that play over the maps' for you alone. Each is played once added: the game's main menu's Mods turns them off and sets the order they load in.
Play together
Play system link with friends in their browsers: create a room and send them its link. Each of you then finds the others' games under Multiplayer.
The browsers of a room connect to each other directly. They find each other through public message brokers, which see nothing of the room: what they pass on is sealed with the link's secret. The Linux, Windows and Android builds cannot join a room yet.
Settings and data
The game's own settings (Settings in its menus, and config.toml) travel with
exported saved games.
